Make Out City Mercantile Soaps & Gifts
Each week, we are proud to feature a customer's side hustle or small business. As your community bank, helping your business succeed is our main goal.
This week's featured business is Make Out City Mercantile Soaps & Gifts!
Make Out City Mercantile is a family-run small business started in November 2017, who specializes in soaps, bath bombs, bath soaks, and more. They even have a soap of the month club for those who want year-round freshness. All of their products are handmade from their home right here in Oklahoma. Emily and her husband are the people behind the production.
Emily was inspired to start Make Out City Mercantile after a friend gifted her a few bars of homemade soap and thought it would be neat to make some of her own! She said after her first batch, she was hooked. It has become the perfect solution for her family to find extra income. Her favorite product (at the moment) is the cinnamon and cedar wood soap because of its deep, earthy scent, mild bamboo-extract exfoliant, and soft lather.
One day, Emily hopes to bring her products to storefronts in Oklahoma. Until then, she and her husband are busy taking the products around the state for craft fairs and keeping some in stock for their Etsy account.
When asked how FNB Community Bank has affected Make Out City Mercantile, Emily said, "I’m glad we shopped around when looking for a [bank] to keep our business account. Setting up our account was easy and the staff at FNB was great to work with - [they met] our schedule and through email to get us all set up."
Don't miss your chance to purchase some of Make Out City Mercantile's goodies at their pop-up shop at our main branch in Midwest City on Wednesday, March 21st from 9 am - 2 pm! The address for the pop-up and the main bank is 2911 S. Air Depot Blvd. MWC, Ok 73110.
Can't make it on Wednesday? You can purchase Make Out City Mercantile products from their Etsy account, Facebook page, or send Emily an email at [email protected].
